REGIONAL SATELLITE HUBS

The Get Busy Living Centre is a truly inspiring place for beneficiaries and the people closest to them, but we also understand that it may be too far to travel for some to attend regularly which is why the Foundation is establishing a network of satellite hubs in other parts of the country.

Each hub is unique, but they all share the aim of providing a welcoming space where young people with life-changing injury can exercise together and build confidence to ‘get busy living’ as part of the Foundation community in a supportive environment.

The inaugural hub was established in partnership with Gym Possible, an accessible gym facility created by Foundation beneficiary Drew Graham in the North-East of England. Southern hubs are located in Essex and East London, with additions in two Devon venues, each running weekly small-group training sessions.

If you or someone you know would like to attend a regional hub or learn more about Foundation support around the country, please email alice@hambo.co.uk

“It was so motivating for me when I was in hospital knowing I had such an incredible place to come out to which would help with my development. I have become much more mobile and independent since coming to the Centre and am experiencing less pain. It has made day-to-day tasks so much easier already.”
