TIGERS SPONSORSHIP TO CARRY FOUNDATION BRANDING

The Matt Hampson Foundation has its name attached to a member of the Leicester Tigers squad this season thanks to the generosity of a player sponsor.

As a long-term supporter of both club and Foundation, Amanda Tilley has again passed over branding rights for sponsorship of player Harry Simmons for the 2023/24 campaign.

As a result, the Foundation logo will be displayed on Harry’s page of the Tigers website and on matchday at Mattioli Woods Welford Road stadium as Tigers line up in the Gallagher Premiership and Europe’s Investec Champions Cup this season as well as in the Premiership Rugby Cup which resumes with a place in the semi-finals in the new year.

Harry is among the club’s longest-serving players, coming through the academy and development teams to make his first-team debut in November 2017.

As an all-round sportsman at school in Norfolk, he won national athletics championship medals on the track and in long jump, played county-level hockey and gained selection for Norwich City’s football academy as well as rugby representative honours. He has carried that versatility into his professional career too, starting at scrum-half but also playing at full-back and wing, from where he scored a memorable try in a European away win over French club ASM Clermont Auvergne in the 2022/23 season.

Thank you to Amanda and all the best to Harry for the rest of the season from everyone at the Foundation.
