THE BEST YEAR YET AT HAMPLIFIED
The Hamplified music and rugby festival has enjoyed its biggest-ever year in support of the Matt Hampson Foundation.
Combining a rugby sevens tournament with live music from local artists and DJs on three stages at Rugby St Andrews RFC in Warwickshire, organisers believe 2025 has been the best-supported edition of Hamplified in its 14 years.
Despite concerns regarding the weather forecast which required some contingency planning and last-minute decision-making, the festival went ahead with its full list of entertainment, food and drink, music and rugby.
“It was a huge success, with hundreds of people turning up throughout the day,” said Rob Low, organiser of the event for a final time this year before handing over to St Andrews club chairman Kalum Goodfellow.
“Thanks to our fantastic bands, vendors, volunteers and the Hamplified faithful who love this day in Rugby’s diary. There is a great deal of love for Matt’s Foundation, for the Rugby St Andrews club and the idea that this has become their own personal event. Each year more and more strangers to the club come along with family and friends.
“We had the most attendees ever and in the end the weather was glorious.”
Rob has received a Special Appreciation award from the Mayor of Rugby in recognition of his commitment to putting the festival together.
“I created this event 14 years ago with my friends Mark Brightwell and Andy Smith, and we are very proud of what it has become,” he said.
“We’ve raised well over £40,000 for the Foundation in that time and it means the world to the club to be able to do this.
“I hand the reigns to Kalum and I’m sure he and the team will do well and find a new way with a great formula.
“See you next year on Saturday 18th July!”
