SEE YOU AT NATIONAL SCHOOLS SEVENS

The Matt Hampson Foundation has been chosen as an official charity partner of the Howden Rosslyn Park National Schools Sevens, the world’s largest schools rugby tournament.

The National Schools Sevens is hosted at Rosslyn Park in London on the week of 23rd March with more than 15,000 young players representing teams from all over the country.

The event has been held every year since 1939, with entry numbers increasing annually. Many international players, top-flight coaches and leaders of industry have taken part, including rugby legends Gareth Edwards, Rob Andrew, Rory Underwood, Will Carling, Lawrence Dallaglio and Neil Back.

The Matt Hampson Foundation, which supports young people following life-changing injury in sport, will be represented on site during the week after selection as a charity partner alongside the Ruth Strauss Foundation and Skrum.

The Ruth Strauss Foundation support families where a parent is facing incurable cancer diagnosis while Skrum works in the African country of Eswatini, formerly Swaziland, which has the highest rate of HIV/AIDS infection in the world.

Announcing the charity partners, organisers said: “These organisations work across different areas, united by a shared commitment to supporting people and strengthening communities. Through their work, they are changing lives, supporting families facing the toughest challenges, inspiring individuals to overcome life-altering injuries and using rugby as a powerful tool for education and opportunity.

“We are honoured to support these charities in 2026 and look forward to working together to use the platform and reach of the tournament to help create meaningful and lasting impact.”
