ROLE MODEL OLLI COLLECTS SPORT AWARD

Olli Ingram ended a notable year as recipient of the Craig Barker Sport Award at the Matt Hampson Foundation annual presentations.

This award is given to someone who epitomises the spirit of the Foundation and its good friend Craig Barker who kept going in the face of adversity, no matter what life threw at him.

Olli, who joined the Foundation community this year, has made significant progress in his visits to the Get Busy Living Centre and has also made a mark on the golf course, playing at The Belfry with the support of a Para Golfer and winning a tournament in Mallorca.

In the introduction to the award presentation, Olli was described as having “an infectious enthusiasm for life” and has “thrown himself into getting busy living”.

Foundation chief executive Tommy Cawston said: “Olli is just so enthusiastic about everything he does and everyone he meets, he is such a wonderful role model.

“The sport award is named after a good friend of ours and he would have loved Olli who epitomises all that Craig loved about sport. In life, opportunities present themselves and you have to take them, and that is what I love about Olli.”
