PROMISING START TO BRITCAR SEASON FOR DRIVER NOAH

Foundation beneficiary Noah Cosby raced on to the podium in his Britcar Trophy Championship debut at Donington Park during Easter weekend.

The Team BRIT driver, who has moved up to the BMW M240i after an impressive rookie year in 2023, partnered Asha Silva to second place in the opening round of the series.

“What an incredible feeling securing a podium finish in Round 1,” Noah posted on his Instagram page @noahcosbyracing.

Looking at the full season ahead, Noah said: “It’s a really interesting series because there is such a variety of cars with the different classes. Even within the classes there is a wide range, but that makes it such exciting racing.

“Teams come and go but Team BRIT has been around for a while now. It is a very competitive team, last year in my car they did very well, the year before they won it.”

Previewing the campaign, team founder Dave Player said: “Noah and Asha performed brilliantly in the C1 last year for the inaugural season of racing and I know they’re going to impress on every front as they step up to the BMW.”

Now established among the UK’s leading race teams, Team BRIT provides drivers with disabilities the opportunity to race alongside other competitors. During pre-season testing in Portugal, commercial director Mike Scudamore said: “It is something we are very proud of, that we have been able to develop, to really give people an opportunity. Every year the system gets better, the technology gets better and we are able to provide opportunity for even more people to go racing. We’re not like any other team, we are a unique proposition when it comes to diversity and inclusion.”

Round 2 of the season is at Snetterton in Norfolk on 14th April.
