MAJOR AWARD FOR ‘LITTLE BIG THINGS’ CAST MEMBER AMY
The Little Big Things, a musical based on the story of Henry Fraser, was among the winners at the prestigious Olivier Awards 2024.
Henry Fraser, who is now a well-known and in-demand artist, was an academy rugby player at Saracens when he had a life-changing accident in 2009 and was the first beneficiary of the Matt Hampson Foundation.
He told his story in a best-selling autobiography which has had a musical re-telling in The Little Big Things, premiered at Soho Place in London and billed as an “uplifting and colourful… life-affirming reminder about the transformative power of family, and how sometimes it really is the little things which matter the most.”
The cast, who also appeared at the Royal Variety Show before Christmas, were among the performers at the Olivier Awards at the Royal Albert Hall and celebrated a win for Amy Trigg as Best Actress in a Supporting Role In a Musical for her role as Agnes.
The Little Big Things was also nominated for Mastercard Best New Musical in a section acknowledged as fiercely competitive this year and eventually awarded to Operation Mincemeat, and Mark Smith was nominated in Best Choreography at theatre’s most prestigious honours.
