PERFECT DAY FOR THE RUTLAND RAMBLE
More than 70 friends and families of Matt Hampson Foundation beneficiaries enjoyed a great day at the inaugural Rutland Ramble.
Recognising that life-changing injury can have an impact beyond an individual, the Foundation includes parents and partners within its wellbeing programme and, as an extension of that, counsellor Gill created and organised the Ramble as a way of bringing them together for an active, social event.
Supporters were able to walk, run and cycle on routes over two distances – 10km around the peninsula and 24 miles around the perimeter of Rutland Water – in their ‘Get Busy Living’ colours and then celebrate on a sunny autumn day in each other’s company afterwards.
“It was an amazing day,” said Gill, “seeing Foundation family and friends being together, supporting, cheering, sharing their own stories.”
Our thanks to everyone who supported the day and to beneficiary Luke and family as our superb hosts.
