PATRON LAUNCHES AN ALPINE SKI CHALLENGE
Foundation patron Mike Tindall is heading for the ski slopes in a new fundraising challenge during 2024.
Mikey’s Mountain Miles will be based at Saalbach in Austria over five days in March, mixing snow-covered peaks, cheeky challenges, surprise guests and entertainment as teams of four cover as much terrain as they can, all in support of charity.
Skiers, snowboarders and adaptive skiers all are welcome to join the adventure at Skicircus Saalbach which features 270 kilometres of stunning Alpine slopes. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or hitting the slopes for the first time, this event is designed for everyone to embrace the thrill of the mountains.
As well as having fun on the slopes, the event will raise vital funds for two charities close to Mike’s heart – the Matt Hampson Foundation, supporting young people living with serious injury, and Wings for Life which aims to find a cure for spinal cord injury.
Participants are asked to secure a fundraising target of £2,000 through sponsorship for every kilometre completed.
