NATIONWIDE SUPPORT FOR EQUIPMENT
The Matt Hampson Foundation has received funding support from the Nationwide Building Society towards a piece of equipment for beneficiaries.
Nationwide commits at least one per cent of pre-tax profits to good causes and the Colleague Grants programme allows Nationwide Building Society staff to apply for a grant to support a charity and make a positive impact in their communities.
Following nomination by family of a beneficiary, the Foundation was selected to receive financial support for the purchase of a Pilates Reformer.
The Reformer allows users to complete a range of exercises in sitting, standing or lying positions, training muscles in many different ways and providing all the benefits of pilates including strength, flexibility, co-ordination and balance.
Positive impact
From its headquarters at the Get Busy Living Centre near Melton Mowbray in Leicestershire, the Matt Hampson Foundation supports and inspires young people following life-changing injury in sport. Its services include physiotherapy, gym, wellbeing, mentorship and counselling.
Matt Hampson OBE said: “We are extremely grateful to the Nationwide Colleague Grants programme for its support in adding to the facilities we can offer to our beneficiaries. We are sure the new piece of equipment will have a positive impact on our beneficiaries and the team at the Get Busy Living Centre.”
