MUTUAL SUPPORT FOR BENEFICIARIES
Young people seriously injured through sport will be able to experience intensive rehabilitation and accommodation at the Matt Hampson Foundation thanks to continued support from NFU Mutual Melton Mowbray.
NFU Mutual Agents and their staff at the NFU Mutual Melton Mowbray agency recently nominated the Matt Hampson Foundation to receive a donation of £7,899 from NFU Mutual’s national £2.33million Agency Giving Fund.
The leading rural insurer launched this fund, now in its sixth year, to help local frontline charities across the country. The Agency Giving Fund forms part of NFU Mutual’s £4m funding pledge for local and national charities in 2025, to support frontline services in rural communities.
To ensure these donations reach all corners of the UK and are directed to where they’re needed most, all NFU Mutual Agencies, with more than 280 offices nationwide, have been given the opportunity to nominate local charities to receive a share of the fund.
Expert support
A donation from long-term supporters NFU Mutual Melton Mowbray through the NFU Mutual’s national £2.33million Agency Giving Fund could fund a rehabilitation package at the Foundation’s Get Busy Living Centre for six new beneficiaries following life-changing injury.
Using the accommodation lodges and facilities at the Centre near Melton Mowbray in Leicestershire, new beneficiaries are able to stay on site for up to two weeks with a full daily schedule of expert physiotherapy, specialist personal training, wellbeing and mentorship as well as access to adaptive yoga and pilates classes.
Matt Hampson OBE, creator of the Foundation, said: “Arranging to stay at the Centre for intensive rehab can really kick-start a beneficiary’s recovery journey from both a physical and emotional perspective so we are extremely grateful to NFU Mutual Melton Mowbray for offering this support from their fundraising.
“We pride ourselves on welcoming new beneficiaries to the Foundation family and staying on site provides a great opportunity not just to experience our rehab programme but also to meet others on a similar journey and share experiences.
