MASSIVE DAY FOR MIKE’S GOLF CLASSIC
The Belfry hosted 200 players for the Mike Tindall Celebrity Golf Classic in support of the Matt Hampson Foundation and Cure Parkinsons.
Groups played on both the Brabazon and PGA courses at The Belfry, with themed holes throughout the day, and stayed for dinner, entertainment and an outstanding auction afterwards, all to raise funds for Mike’s two chosen causes.
Tindall, who is patron of the Matt Hampson Foundation, said: “The sun’s out, there’s a full house, everyone is in a good mood for a really good day. It’s a privilege to raise some money for two great charities.
“Matt is one of our own, he suffered catastrophic injury playing the sport he loved and went through some dark times but came out of it, he would say, a better man and now he inspires others.
“He wants to share his knowledge and passion for ‘get busy living’ with anyone who has catastrophic injury and the families with them. The Foundation continues to grow and the Get Busy Living Centre continues to grow. It always needs funding to take on more beneficiaries.”
Celebrity guests from sport and entertainment included former England cricket captain Andrew Strauss, rugby internationals Emily Scarratt, Toby Flood, Tom Shanklin and Austin Healy, television presenters Denise van Outen, Dan Walker and Jenni Falconner, and actors James Nesbitt, Philip Glenister and Ollie Phelps, who is also a longstanding Foundation ambassador.
