THANK YOU FOR SUPPORT OF MATT’S NATIONAL APPEAL

Thank you to everyone who has already supported the Matt Hampson Foundation appeal on BBC Radio 4.

Whether you made a donation or helped us to spread the message of the Foundation’s work by sharing social media posts and other updates, we are extremely grateful.

Matt himself recorded the appeal, telling the story of his own life-changing injury on the rugby field and of his mission to help others through his Foundation.

You may have even seen the promotional material on billboards around your town or at rugby, cricket or bowls clubhouses during the course of the week.

The Foundation he created continues to change lives on a daily basis, providing physical and emotional support at its Get Busy Living Centre near Melton Mowbray in Leicestershire where it offers expert physiotherapy, specialist personal training, wellbeing and practical advice, creating opportunities to show what is possible after life-changing injury.

A sense of community is central to the Foundation, allowing beneficiaries to draw on the experience and knowledge of others like Matt who have been on a similar journey as they develop the skills they need to move on to rebuild their lives and retrain themselves to focus on what they can do – not what they can’t.

As well as its headquarters in the Midlands, the Foundation now also has satellite hubs in the North-East and South-East to take that support even further.

You can still hear Matt’s appeal presentation and find out more, including how to make a donation in support of the Foundation’s work on our own appeal page here.

Every penny in donations will go towards supporting beneficiaries and the people closest to them as they learn how to ‘get busy living’ again. Thank you.
