TEAM UP FOR AN ALPINE CHALLENGE
Beneficiaries and staff from the Matt Hampson Foundation are aiming to go higher, faster and further in the CHX Challenge in the French Alps this summer.
The two-day journey to Chamonix is for teams of six and aims to test limits, build camaraderie and create memories in the breathtaking foothills of Mont Blanc in June.
Teams decide on their own goals, pushing the boundaries of ‘How High, How Fast, How Far and How Much’ with a dedicated guide to assist with route planning and ensure safety throughout while competing to raise funds for the Foundation’s support of young people following life-changing injury in sport.
The Foundation’s Meet Your Mountain Challenge is sponsored this year by GRS Group, a major independent supply chain partner in the construction industry.
This is not just a physical challenge – covering the equivalent distance and height gain of climbing Ben Nevis and Snowdon – but an emotional one too, inspired by the spirit of sportsmanship, teamwork and perseverance while also enjoying stunning surroundings.
“The Chamonix trip which brought together beneficiaries, staff and supporters for a truly special weekend in the mountains was among the highlights of our year,” says Foundation chief executive Tommy Cawston who participated in the 2025 event.
“The courage, teamwork and friendship shown summed up everything our Foundation stands for in pushing limits, embracing life and celebrating what is possible.”
