GRAHAM TELLS HIS STORY ON CAMERA

Graham Lee, the Grand National-winning jockey and friend of the Matt Hampson Foundation, is subject of a new one-hour TV documentary.

Titled Graham Lee: Beyond The Fall and made for Racing TV, Graham talks to his friend Niall Hannity about his career during a golden age of horseracing and candidly about his life-changing injury in 2023.

He is filmed during a physio session with Tilly Cumming, the Foundation’s clinical lead, at the charity’s Get Busy Living Centre near Melton Mowbray in Leicestershire which was created to provide physical and emotional support following life-changing injury.

Graham says: “Hambo is an incredible guy. When I left hospital, I came straight here for two weeks and when I arrived Matt was here, [horseracing legend] AP McCoy was here. The first person I met was Tilly and we’ve been with her ever since.”

Graham’s wife Becky praises the support of both the Injured Jockeys Fund and the Foundation during an interview filmed in one of the Centre’s residential lodges and says: “I love it here. The people are incredible, it’s an amazing place.”

The hour-long special is available to view on YouTube.
