GEZ DEDICATED TO HITTING GOALS
A positive attitude towards her training matched only by her support for others combined for Geraldine Burdett to receive the Matt Hampson Foundation’s Stand-Out Dedication Award for 2023.
The Foundation hosted its annual Get Busy Living Awards for 200 guests at the home of the Leicester Tigers.
The Dedication Award is presented to someone who has thrown themselves into fulfilling their goals and optimising their recovery, both physically and mentally.
Gez, who joined the Foundation in 2022, has faced hurdle after hurdle in her recovery, but soldiers on and continues to push herself to meet her goals and potential.
Foundation head of operations Sophie Wilson, whose first link with the charity was as a fellow beneficiary, said: “Gez has just put her all into her rehab, both physically and mentally.”
Noah Cosby, another beneficiary, added: “Seeing her physical improvement, Gez is probably one of my biggest inspirations.”
