NEW PARTNERSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT
The Matt Hampson Foundation is delighted to welcome Burns & Wilcox Global Solutions and RB Jones UK as official partners of the charity which supports young people following life-changing injury in sport.
Burns & Wilcox Global Solutions, the wholesale insurance brokers, and specialty underwriters RB Jones UK are part of H.W. Kaufman Group, one of the world’s most respected specialty insurance organisations that conducts business in more than 90 countries worldwide.
As Foundation partners, Burns & Wilcox Global Solutions and RB Jones UK will be involved in development and engagement opportunities while also supporting the Tindall Athlete Development Programme.
Named in honour of the Foundation’s patron and Rugby World Cup winner Mike Tindall, the Athlete Development Programme supports beneficiaries aiming to compete at the highest levels of para sport with a personalised, fully-funded strength and conditioning programme at its Get Busy Living Centre alongside other additional benefits.
Announcing the partnership, Matt Hampson OBE said: “As a Foundation, we are changing lives every day so the support of Burns & Wilcox Global Solutions and RB Jones UK is very important to us and our beneficiaries.
“We thank them for their support and their interest in what we do, and look forward to working closely with them as official partners.”
Specialised support
Paul Greensmith, CEO International at H.W. Kaufman Group, said: “Our teams at Burns & Wilcox Global Solutions and RB Jones UK are delighted to be partnering with the Matt Hampson Foundation. Not only will we have the opportunity to support the Foundation’s important work in the community, but we will also have the privilege of helping develop the next generation of para sport athletes to compete at the highest levels.
“We are looking forward to working with the Matt Hampson team to see the opportunities our partnership can deliver.”
The Foundation provides expert physiotherapy, specialised personal training, wellbeing support and mentorship from its Get Busy Living Centre near Melton Mowbray in Leicestershire, with further facilities at a network of regional hubs.
It was created by Matt Hampson following his own life-changing injury as an England Under-21 rugby player in 2005. Rather than lament what he had lost, Matt decided to focus on what he could still do and to ‘get busy living’.
Beneficiaries develop the tools and skills they need to move on as they start to rebuild their lives, either in a return to work, education or sport, or in adapting to a new life focusing on what they can do, not what they can’t.
