FIND SUPPORT AT HAMBO SATELLITE HUB

The Matt Hampson Foundation is taking support further with its regional hubs and there is a section on the website so you can find all about the services available.

The Foundation’s Get Busy Living Centre near Melton Mowbray in Leicestershire was opened in 2018 to provide expert physiotherapy, specialised personal training, wellbeing, mentorship and advice to young people following life-changing injury in sport.

And while there are plans to extend the facilities at the Centre to keep up with demand, the Foundation is also developing regional hubs to take support closer to those who are unable to travel regularly to the East Midlands.

The first hub was created at Gym Possible, led by Foundation beneficiary Drew Graham and now based at Gateshead Leisure Centre on Tyneside, offering accessible gym facilities and access to physiotherapist sessions.

Two further facilities have now come on board in the South-East of England, at Grays in Essex and at the Olympic Velodrome in London where small-group training sessions are available.

Each hub is unique, but they all share the aim of providing a welcoming space where young people with life-changing injury can exercise together and build confidence to ‘get busy living’ as part of the Foundation community in a supportive environment.
