COUPLE TAKE ON 100KM SKI CHALLENGE
Taylor and Kylie Gough are taking on a 100km ski challenge for the Matt Hampson Foundation.
A bronze medallist in the European Paracanoe Championships in 2025, Taylor has been part of the Foundation family for five years. His wife Kylie (Grimes) is the only woman to win Paralympic gold in wheelchair rugby and is now a member of the GB Athletes’ Commission as well as being a Foundation ambassador.
“Matt’s Foundation has supported me since my accident in 2020,” said Taylor. “And I’ve seen first-hand how amazing the Foundation is and how they change lives for young sporting people.”
The duo will also support the MND community and Gloucester Rugby Foundation which works closely with Ed Slater who, like Taylor and Matt, is a former Leicester Tigers player.
Taylor added: “Being a part of Leicester Tigers and the rugby community, it’s all about supporting each other, like Matt did for me, so I want to do what I can to help support others.
“I’ve decided I want to ski 100km and really push myself.”
Taylor and Kylie take the ski-erg challenge on Tuesday 25th November, alternating half an hour on and half an hour off until they reach 100km, which he estimates will take around 12 hours.
