CHARITIES TEAM UP WITH MND SUPPORT

The Matt Hampson Foundation offers an MND support programme from its Get Busy Living Centre in Leicestershire.

Using the Centre’s unique atmosphere and specialist professional staff, the programme was launched in 2024 to provide support for those living with MND who want to continue living an active lifestyle.

Run in partnership with My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, created by former rugby international Doddie Weir, places are available by self-referral. The only criteria is that anyone seeking support must have an association with sport, either competitively or in enjoying a range of recreational activity.

It is believed that around 5,000 people in the UK are living with motor neuron disease, including Rugby World Cup winner Lewis Moody who has recently revealed his diagnosis.
