BARRATT REDROW JOIN MATT’S MARATHON TEAM
Leading homebuilder Barratt Redrow has committed its support to Matt Hampson and his team participating in the 2026 London Marathon.
Barratt Redrow, which incorporates Barratt Homes, David Wilson Homes and Redrow among its brands, is a long-term supporter and partner of the Matt Hampson Foundation which supports and inspires young people following life-changing injury in sport.
Matt created the Foundation as a charity following his own injury just as he was beginning a professional rugby career and he opened its Get Busy Living Centre near Melton Mowbray in Leicestershire to provide specialist physiotherapy, personal training, wellbeing and mentorship for beneficiaries and the people closest to them.
In April, Matt has challenged himself to complete the London Marathon to raise awareness and funds to continue to change young lives.
He will be pushed around the iconic 26-mile course in a specially adapted racing chair by a team of four support runners.
They are already in training, preparing for their big day on 26th April which Matt describes as “my Everest”.
Matt Hampson OBE said: “Barratt Redrow has been incredibly supportive of me, the Foundation and our beneficiaries for many years and we will be proud to carry their name on our marathon kit in London.
“I have described the London Marathon as ‘my Everest’ because it is the biggest challenge I have taken on with the Foundation, but I am inspired by our beneficiaries and by knowing the difference we can make to young lives.
“We are all looking forward to the big day in April and thank Barratt Redrow for continued support.”
