ARTIST BEN HONOURED AS AMBASSADOR
Artist Ben Mosley has been appointed as an Ambassador of the Matt Hampson Foundation which supports young people following life-changing injury in sport.
Ben’s distinctive expressionist style includes using 24-carat gold and precious metals in his work and his live painting has raised more than £2.5 million for various charitable causes in recent years.
As a long-time supporter, Ben created an amazing mural for the Foundation’s Get Busy Living Centre depicting its creator Matt alongside beneficiaries and important moments in its story.
He also created a piece of artwork during a visit to the Centre by the British & Irish Lions to commemorate the Foundation’s selection as an official charity partner and has been announced as Official Artist of the Lions this year.
That painting is now part of a fundraising online auction for the Foundation as the first in a series of work produced to celebrate the Lions tour to Australia.
Ben is also Official Artist for Team GB – creating paintings in Paris 2024 and a live mural in Carnaby Street during the Tokyo Olympics in 2020 – and has worked with many major names in sport and popular culture including Wembley Stadium, McDonald’s, Tag Heuer, Porsche and Veela Private Island. His collectors and endorsers include Hugh Grant, Ed Sheeran, Mike and Zara Tindall, Sir Alex Ferguson, Wayne Rooney and Naomi Osaka.
Matt Hampson OBE said: “Ben has become a very good friend of the Foundation and has been very supportive of our events. His work is very sought-after and has raised an incredible amount of money for charities.
“We are delighted to add him to our list of Ambassadors. We look forward to seeing the full series of his work produced during the Lions tour and working closely with him again in future.”
Ben Mosley commented: “Matt and his Foundation do incredible work and inspire so many people. I am delighted to join them as an ambassador.
“It’s a terrific honour for me and I wish everyone at the Foundation the very best with the incredible work they do. I look forward to supporting Matt and the team as much as I can in as many endeavours as possible.”
