ANNUAL REPORT SHOWS FOUNDATION’S IMPACT IN 2023
Delivery of more than 3,500 physiotherapy and gym sessions during the year is just one of the highlights in the Matt Hampson Foundation’s Impact Report for 2023.
The Foundation, based at the Get Busy Living Centre in Burrough-on-the-Hill in Leicestershire, works to support and inspire young people seriously injured through sport and adapting to life-changing injury.
The latest Impact Report showcases the work done with beneficiaries from numerous sports and across the whole country during the year.
Thanks to its supporters and sponsors, in 2023 the Foundation was able to:
- Deliver more than 3,500 physiotherapy, sports therapy and personal training sessions
- Open both of our accommodation lodges to offer intensive therapy for beneficiaries at the Get Busy Living Centre
- Develop an Athlete Development Programme
- Support beneficiaries to develop new skills to help them back into work
- Launch yoga and meditation therapy as part of our wellbeing programme
- Expand our Learning & Development offering to schools and businesses
- Hire an additional physio so we can support even more beneficiaries
- Add a Motor Neurone Disease support function to our existing services
- Deliver 120 experience days for beneficiaries including waterskiing, flying and quad-biking
- Run numerous successful fundraising events and dinners through the year
“What a year,” says Matt. “We continue to receive enquiries from new beneficiaries and there are new faces to welcome every time I arrive at the Get Busy Living Centre, which is fantastic. Thank-you to everybody who supports the Foundation.”
There are plans to expand the facilities at the Get Busy Living Centre in 2024 as well as reach out to more beneficiaries via satellite venues following the launch of the first hub in Newcastle. For more details, check out the new-look website or Sign-up to emails – The Matt Hampson Foundation.
